Three things determine your price: the distance and route of your journey, the time you are travelling, and the vehicle class you select. Metered black cabs charge by time and distance as you travel — a journey that hits heavy traffic costs more than the same journey on a clear road, even though the distance is identical. With CabsOn, the price is calculated and shown to you before you book, and it does not change once you have confirmed, regardless of how the traffic runs on the day.
Ride-hailing apps use dynamic surge pricing that rises with demand — the same route can cost more at a busy time than it does off-peak. CabsOn does not apply a surge multiplier; your price is fixed once you have booked, whatever the demand is doing elsewhere.
